The loses of Electronic Arts are increasing
The manufacturer of video games Electronic Arts recorded an increase in loss on an annual basis, although reported revenue growth. The reason for the negative result is higher costs, the company had to make. In the third quarter of the calendar year, which is the second fiscal year of Electronic Arts, has reported a loss of 340 million USD or 1.03 USD per share. For the same period of 2010 the negative result of the company was 201 million USD, or 61 cents a share. Adjusted earnings of Electronic Arts, which do not include deferred receivables in the company's products online, increasing by 17 percent annually to 1.03 billion USD. With the main merit of this are the strong sales of games FIFA 2012 and Madden NFL 12, it is clear from the financial reports of the company. The good sales have enabled the company to raise its forecast for revenue by the end of the year. According to executive director of Electronic Arts John Riccitiello this will help, and released two days ago the market game Battlefield 3, which saves quite a strong debut. For this quarter, the company forecast revenue in the range 1.55 to 1.65 billion USD. The profit forecast for the fiscal year even slightly elevated and is within the 75-90 cents per share.
The results of Electronic Arts and the new projections of the company, however, failed to impress investors after publication of the report yesterday, the company's shares fell 3.3 percent to 23.50 dollars per share.
