When in Alaksa…
What do you do when you are in Alaska? If you haven’t yet known, there are 3000 rives and 3 million lakes in this state. And, 17 of the 20 highest peaks in the US is in Alaska. This shows us that there are many things to see and do in Alaska. If you take a vacation in Alaska, here are some things that you can do.
Visit the Mendenhall Glacier. Most people stay in the visitor’s center where they can have a good view of the glacier. In this center you are kept warm and the view of the glacier is clean and shleterd. You can also follow the trails to get a closer look at the glacier and experience the local wildlife as well.

Denali Nationla park is another attraction in Alaska. It is the highest peak in North America which reaches 20, 310 feet. You can take a bus tour through the national park where you will see wolves, grizzlies, caribous, Dall sheep, mice, and more. You can also see natural sights like tundras, beautiful lakes and rivers, and unique geological formations.
Have you ever dreamed of seeing the northern lights? Then this is you chance to do so. You can simply gaze up and marvel at the northern lights on a clear night. Don’t miss this one-in-a-lifetsime experience.
You might want to bike along Alaska’s coastal trail which winds along the Cook Inlet Arm. You will need a whole day to complete this trail but it is definitely worth it.
If you are interested in marine life, then the Kenai Fjords Day Cruise is for you. Puffins, orcas, otters, harbor seals, Minke whales, Dall’s porpoises, etc., are abundant in this place. You can capture incredible mountain scenes and tideware glaciers with your camera.
Take a tour of the oldest national park in Alaska which is the Sitka National Park. You will find a lot of information here about totem poles, native artifats, beaches, and temperate rainforests.
If you want to see ice sculptures, visit the Aurora Ice Museum. They also have a village theater where you can watch nightly aurora shows.
You should not miss salmon fishing while in Alaska. You can catch your salmon dinner from several Alskan river banks. They have salmon charters or you can also get a fishing license from the Alaska Dept of Fish and Game if you want to fish on your own.
Some other things you can do in Alaska include visiting the ghost town of Kennicott and Wrangell St Elias National Park, the shifting sands of Kobuk Valley National Park, and the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
